
This Cluster uses research labs to examine short-term interventions and analyse human samples. Our aim is to evaluate the impact of physical activity interventions involving nutrition on people’s health.
Our research focuses on the following areas;
Muscle function and how muscles age
How nutrition and exercise relates to metabolism
Excercise and obesity in children
Neuromuscular function in health and disease
How effective campagins to promote physical activity & modify diet are
How our cells respond to exercise
