How do we work with the public sector?

A significant amount of our research for use by public bodies or those dealing with public policy.  Our main Research Areas capture many issues which are at the heart of public service delivery.

Our public partners benefit from the impartiality of our research and knowledge exchange work. They also appreciate the knowledge, skills, networks, resources and facilities developed by our researchers.

Who do we work with?

We work with public agencies throughout the world as partners, investors and users of our research and expertise.  These include;

  • Central and regional governments
  • Health services / the National Health Service
  • Local authorities and the Police
  • Environmental, Housing and regeneration agencies
  • Economic development & enterprise organisations
  • Education... and many others

Stirling makes a strong contribution to the development of the public sector workforce, through our mainstream degree programmes and continuing professional development (CPD). If you work in any of the areas mentioned above, or even if you don't, we probably have training to suit you.
