Voluntary Sector

A man sits listening to a woman who he is counselling. How do we work with the voluntary sector?

Not-for-profit businesses are an important part of Stirling’s research and knowledge transfer activities. Socially-focused organisations often use, participate in, and contribute to our research and expertise.

Who do we work with?

We work with many different organisations in the voluntary sector, including;

  • Housing Associations and Social care providers
  • Arts groups and Environmental organisations
  • Health research and promotion foundations
  • Children’s charities... and many others

Through such partnerships we can pool efforts to obtain funding for joint research and knowledge transfer activities. We will work together to embrace your passions in our own research by:

  • designing a joint research study
  • offering our consultancy
  • devising a development course for voluntary sector staff
