Sharing your knowledge

CPD is an important part of the University’s knowledge exchange activity, offering a valuable opportunity to pass on the knowledge and expertise gained from our research.

What can we do for you?

The Research Development Manager aligned to your School should be your first port of call for costing and pricing your non-accredited CPD courses and guiding you through the preparation process. (Accredited courses are supported by the Finance Office).

The Research and Enterprise Office will assist you with identifying and exploiting opportunities to provide CPD by helping you to:

  • Maximise your income (using cost and market analysis, working within the University's knowledge exchange policies)
  • devise strategies to best respond to the needs of potential customer groups
  • market planned courses and your ability to deliver bespoke courses
  • establish and manage relationships with potential and current CPD customer organisations

The Team will help with contract negotiations, (through the Contract Manager) authorisation from the university for official acceptance of contracts and, once your CPD course has started, brief colleagues in the Finance Office to facilitate project set-up.

Further detail is available in the University’s CPD Policy Document.

How can we help?

For further information about non-accredited CPD, or for help developing a proposal or finding funding, please contact your aligned representative in the Research and Enterprise Office.
