The Policy & Project Officers within the Research & Enterprise Office provide policy expertise and support for all aspects of the University’s research and knowledge exchange work, in order to maximise opportunities and lead agendas in our areas of research strength.
This level of support is achieved through developing and supporting a fit-for-purpose policy framework for research and knowledge exchange activities based on the wider, ever-changing Higher Education sector environment, which encompasses issues relating to national initiatives, Governmental strategies, research ethics and good practice guidelines.
In order to ensure that the University remains abreast of recent external policy and political developments, the team:
Furthermore, pivotal information, such as up-to-date Research Council developments, Pre-Budget reports and recent European Commission communications is disseminated regularly to relevant stakeholders.
Current and recent policy developments include Consultancy, CPD and IPR Policies and the Code of Good Research Practice.
