Nurturing your research at the University of Stirling

One of the key strategic objectives of the University of Stirling is to be a research-led University; one that continues to improve its research performance and grow its research income (as laid out in the Research Strategy).

What can we do for you?

The Research Development Manager aligned to your department should be your first port of call for costing and pricing your Research and guiding you through the submission process.

The Team will support your Research by:

  • Identifying and disseminating funding opportunities
  • Advising on application processes – both internal procedures and external funders’ research strategies and requirements
  • Assisting with development of proposals (giving advice on the structure, content and providing knowledge of funders)
  • Advising on the costing and pricing of applications in consideration of funders’ guidelines, market conditions and the University’s pricing strategy

The Team will help with contract negotiations (through the Contracts Manager), authorisation from the university for official acceptance of awards and, once funding for your research project has been awarded, brief colleagues in the Finance Office to facilitate project set-up.

How can we help?

For further information about research, or for help with your proposal, please contact your aligned representative in the Research and Enterprise Office.
